The Elements and Free Trial, two a cappella groups, to perform at Simon's Rock this Sunday
GREAT BARRINGTON, MA — Two a cappella groups will perform at Simon's Rock College of Bard on Sunday, December 17 at 3 p.m. The performance will take place in the Kellogg Music Center, and it will be free and open to the public.
Free Trial, the Simon's Rock a cappella group, is made up of nine people. They explore a wide range of musical genres, and they have performed for the Singing Bee in Stockbridge (a Stockbridge Library benefit) and the Coral-o-Rama at Berkshire School, competed in the International Championship of High School A Cappella hosted at Simon’s Rock, and hosted numerous open concerts.
In addition to Free Trial, The Elements (above left), a semi-professional group from Boston, will also be performing. With five voices, that group strives to "explore the core elements of music -- sound and rhythms -- at their most basic state, where it's all about feeling and soul." Their website is at www.bostonelements.com.
