Simon’s Rock/ Columbia University Engineering Program

An ambitious program that offers three years at Simon’s Rock, two years in the engineering school at Columbia University in New York and, at the end, both a B.A. from Simon’s Rock and a B.S. from Columbia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.  Simon’s Rock also offers similar arrangements with the engineering schools at Dartmouth College and Washington University in St. Louis.

Simon’s Rock Scholars at Oxford

Each year a select group of Simon’s Rock students are admitted to spend their junior year at Lincoln College of the University of Oxford in England.  Founded in 1427, Lincoln College is one of the oldest, most esteemed of the Oxford colleges. Simon’s Rock Scholars at Oxford are full members of Lincoln College, live on grounds at Lincoln, are taught by Oxford faculty, and have access to the rich library, academic, sports and other facilities of the University of Oxford.  Study at Lincoln College is integrated with the academic experience at Simon’s rock and provides credit for the Bachelor of Arts program.

Studying at Bard College at Annandale

One of the country’s most innovative colleges of liberal arts and sciences is 50 miles down the road and accessible to Simon’s Rock students. Simon’s Rock students enrolled in the Upper College program are able to take classes at Bard’s campus at Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.  In addition, upperclassmen may work with Bard faculty on their senior thesis, and spend a semester in residence at the Annandale campus. Qualified students may take part in Bard’s study abroad programs: from its groundbreaking Manhattan-based programs, including the Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program, which offers students intensive scholarship and internship opportunities in human rights and political economy to the Bard Rockefeller Program, a collaborative venture with Rockefeller University offering advanced research opportunities in medicine and sciences.
