Human rights activist Fahima Vorgetts will speak at Simon’s Rock on Nov. 13

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA- Human rights activist Fahima Vorgetts will speak at Simon’s Rock  on Nov. 13, at 7 p.m.  The Afghan national will speak on her efforts to aid women and children in Afghanistan.
Vorgetts is the leader of the organization Women for Afghan Women, created to raise funds and encourage participation in democracy for all women.
This speech is part of the Unitarian Universalist Speaker Series, an ongoing series to promote social awareness, provocative thinking, and meaningful dialogue. The series, co-sponsored by the Simon’s Rock Women’s Center and community donors, is free and open to the public. The speech is to be held in the Lecture Center.
