GREAT BARRINGTON, MA — A new gallery will open at Simon’s Rock College of Bard on Friday, October 27. The opening show will feature work of members of the faculty, and the opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.

The opening of this gallery space in the Liebowitz Building, which is at the corner of Hurlbut and Alford Roads, represents the expansion of the exhibitions programs, says Exhibitions Coordinator Margaret Grant. "The professional level art gallery means we can show unusual works and shows."

The opening of the gallery will triple the existing exhibition space on campus, with 100 feet of new usable wall space.

Artists in the opening show will include: Bill Jackson, sculpture and paintings; Arthur Hillman, new photography from Hawaii; Tanya Marcuse, new work from Rome; Ben Krupka, ceramics; Barbara Resnik, prints; Laura Gail Tyler, photography; Larry Burke, photography.

This faculty show will run through Dec 22. For more information, call 413-528-7389.
