The Washington Post Reviews Faculty Member Wesley Brown's Latest Novel
The Washington Post
recently reviewed faculty member Wesley Brown’s new novel, Push Comes to Shove, which tours readers through the tumultuous 60s and 70s through characters drawn into the “shadowy radical underground in the United States.” The Post says that Brown “writes about this milieu with compassion and deep insight…” and that he “admirably succeeds” and is “exceptionally well qualified” to put “a human face on individuals whose bombings, kidnappings and plane hijackings seemed without rhyme or reason to most Americans."

Princeton Review Bard College at Simon's Rock Rated Highly by The Princeton Review
In its annual review of colleges, The Princeton Review named Bard College at Simon’s Rock as one of the country’s best colleges. The Review includes student interviews and a survey portion. Students characterized their experience as “Academically challenging and formidable…” but supported by “professors who provide up close and personal attention and who go out of their way to be available out of the classroom.” The Review also highlighted the College as a place where no one cheats, class discussions are encouraged and political activism is popular.

Good Morning America host Robin Roberts was spotted wearing a Bard College at Simon's Rock sweatshirt during broadcasts that aired on September 16 and September 17, 2008. Roberts donned the Simon's Rock apparel as she and GMA co-host Diane Sawyer mashed Concord grapes and sampled Buffalo's famous chicken wings during their recent whistle stop tour of America, dubbed "On the Train." Bard College at Simon's Rock faculty member John Weinstein appeared on NPR's sports program, "Only a Game" on Saturday, August 9, 2008. Weinstein, who teaches Chinese at the College, served as the authority on the pronunciation of China's capital city and host of the 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing.
