To Install Banner

On Windows machines, uninstall the Microsoft virtual machine.
Download and install the Java SE from java.sun.com. Jave SE 5 U6 is the preferred version as of June 2007.
After installation, go into the registry (regedit)
- Go to HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Run
- Delete the entry for jusched.exe
- Reboot the machine.
Browse to http://bip.bard.edu/orasr.html. Add a bookmark for this page called something handy like "Banner Start"
Scroll down to the "Download" link for "Oracle Jinitiator". Download and install this program.
After install is complete, browse again to http://bip.bard.edu/orasr.html
To launch Banner, click the Banner 6.x icon at the top left of the table. Enter your user name and password at the prompt. The first time you run Banner it will take some time to load.
