Event Details

The Simon's Rock Chamber Orchestra presents an unusual composition by the contemporary American composer Terry Riley. "In C" is a series of musical fragments, each of which the individual musician is free to begin and repeat according to her/his own judgement. The result is a beautiful, interesting, semi-improvised sound-scape with ever changing variations, which slowly moves through the composed sequence. A Horn Trio by Anton Reicha, performed on French Horn, Alto Clarinet and Trombone, and a Concerto for Viola and Strings by Georg Philipp Telemann round out the program.
