Event Details

A major contemporary Brazilian poet, Salgado Maranhao won Brazil's highest award, the Premio de Poesia da Academia Brasileira de Letras, for the year 2011. An earlier collection, Mural of Winds, won the prestigious Prêmio Jabuti in 1999. His book Blood of the Sun is published by Milkweed Editions, and he and his translator, Alexis Levitin, will read from it. The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
