Speakers:ERIC SCHLOSSER, author of the book, Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, published in 2001, with GREG ASBED and LUCAS BENITEZ, Co-Founders of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a worker-based human rights organization.
This is a series of videotaped lectures from UC Berkeley with Instructors Michael Pollan, renowed author and UC Berkeley Professor; and Nikki Henderson of the People's Grocery. Each week, guest speakers draw on everything from economics and agronomy to sociology, anthropology, and the arts to address different aspects of the food movement including farm bill reform, organic agriculture, school lunch reform, food safety, animal welfare, local food economies, and more.
