Dr. Thornton is the author of the best-selling "The Ditchdigger’s Daughters," which was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and has been translated into 19 languages. Dr. Thornton was also the first black woman in the United States to be Board certified in High-Risk obstetrics.
