Event Details

Directed by John Myers, the ensemble will play an exciting blend of music in a variety of styles, with a new version of an original Myers composition, "Sky Ocean," a modal/contrapuntal piece in 5/4 and 10/8 meter. The concert will feature two exciting guest artists: vocalist William Dunbar and trombonist Bill St. Clair. The program will also include a challenging Latin-jazz piece by Rebeca Mauleón, an introspective exploration by Frank Mantooth, and a variety of standards, with plenty of energetic improvisation by the creative players.
