Anonymous Eight from Simon's Rock College will be performing at the Chapel of the United Church of Christ in Lenox on Sunday April 18 at 3PM. The concert is part of the "Month of Sundays" series, and proceeds will go directly to the church's upcoming mission trip to Costa Rica. Anonymous Eight is a select women's a cappella vocal ensemble from Simon's Rock College that specializes in early music and contemporary a capella choral music. For the April 18 program, they will be singing several a cappella old American hymn tunes from the shape note tradition, short sacred works by Byrd, di Lasso and Vittoria as well as several madrigals. Anonymous Eight is regularly invited to perform off campus and recently appeared on public television in western Massachusetts in an acclaimed Christmas concert. The group is directed by Jack Brown.
