Soprano Hai-Ting Chinn and the Proteus Ensemble perform Schoenberg's extraordinary seminal 20th century masterpiece "Pierrot Lunaire." This great work for chamber ensemble and voice, rarely heard owing to the enormous challenges it offers to performers, is rendered in all its surreal theatrical extravagance by a dynamic group of adventurous young musicians who have made this one of their 'signature' pieces.
There will be a preconcert talk with two members of the Proteus Ensemble at 6:45 in the Liebowitz Theater.
