Chris Russill, whose recent work focuses on climate change communication and the use of tipping points to shape perceptions of crisis and danger, visits Simon’s Rock. Russill, a University of Minnesota faculty member, also examines the way public health agencies shape climate change discourse to enable the intervention of recognizable institutions [World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Canada]. Russill continues the College’s Junior Fellows speakers series, which will feature multidisciplinary work from scholars engaging in social scientific inquiry.
