Annual Fund Scholars Program

A Special Opportunity
Central to the mission of Bard College at Simon’s Rock is a commitment to embodying diversity of all varieties. Simon’s Rock strives to identify talented students who are ready to begin college early, and offer them a top-notch academic experience in an intimate setting.

Financial Aid
In keeping with this mission, last year, 91% of Simon’s Rock students received some form of financial aid, up from 82% in the previous year. The comprehensive annual cost of attending Simon’s Rock is now $51,680; the average institutional grant is $20,049.

Annual Fund gifts have helped make this level of support possible. Yet, for many deserving students, the gap between financial need and available scholarships is still too wide to afford them the opportunity to attend Simon’s Rock.

The Annual Fund Scholars Program
The Annual Fund Scholars Program was established to support academically qualified students who could not otherwise afford to attend Simon’s Rock. It matches donors who contribute $5,000 or more to the Annual Fund with a current student, providing a one-year scholarship named by the donor.

Supporters of the program will hear from the student who receives their scholarship throughout the year. Contributors to the Annual Fund Scholars program will also be invited to an annual reception on campus for scholarship donors. At the reception, scholarship supporters and recipients will have the opportunity to meet in person.
