Recreational Athletic Program (RAPs)
The Recreational Athletic Program (RAP) is an important component of the liberal arts curriculum. Students are required to complete four RAP courses in order to fulfill degree requirements for graduation at the A.A. level.
The Recreational Athletic Program offers both noncompetitive and competitive activities. Noncompetitive activities include aqua-aerobics, archery, aerobics, basketball, fencing, horseback riding, jogging, lifeguard training, martial arts, Pilates, racquetball, rock climbing, scuba, squash, swim lessons, Swim America instructor training, tennis, volleyball, weight training and yoga. Through the Outdoor Pursuits program, students may participate in backpacking, canoeing, camping, and cross-country skiing.
Competitive events with nearby colleges give Simon's Rock students the opportunity to test their mettle while making new friendships outside the college community. Competitive teams include: Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women's Swimming, and Men's & Women's Basketball.
Campus facilities include the Kilpatrick Athletic Center, outdoor tennis courts, and athletic fields.
