Ronald Gorevic pursues an active career on both violin and viola. He is currently a lecturer at Smith College, teaching and performing on both instruments. Mr.Gorevic is also on the faculty of Simons-Rock, the violist of the Prometheus Piano Quartet, and principal violist of the Springfield Symphony.
Mr.Gorevic has a number of recordings to his credit, including Schumann violin sonatas, string quartet performances with the Chester Quartet on the Koch label, and a CD with the Prometheus Piano Quartet on the Centaur label.
He has also collaborated with many great musicians, including Ruth Laredo, Lydia Artimuw, and members of the Cleveland and Guarneri string quartets.
Most recently he has published an arrangement of the Mendelssohn violin concerto for viola, which received high praise from Strings Magazine. This year he will also be recording two of Brahms chamber works for clarinet, the clarinet trio & quintet, in arrangements by Brahms for viola.
