Residence Director

Bard College at Simon’s Rock, the nation’s only four-year residential college of the liberal arts and sciences for high school age students, seeks a Residence Director. Our students typically enroll at the age of 16, and complete an academic program leading to the two-year Associate of Arts and four-year Bachelor of Arts degrees. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in making a positive impact on bright students, while working in a small, vibrant community.

Duties include counseling, conflict resolution, policy development, crisis intervention, parent communication, residence hall administration, assisting with new student orientation, and campus-wide programming.

Applicants must be creative, flexible, open-minded, organized, and work well independently and as part of a team. We seek individuals who will enrich the staff and community as Simon's Rock is currently working to improve the campus climate with regard to diversity and inclusion. Candidates should expect to be an active part of this process. This is a full-time 10-month position. Significant evening and weekend work is involved.

Compensation includes salary commensurate with experience, housing year-round, meals while school is in session, and a comprehensive employee benefit package. Bachelor's degree and experience working with adolescents required, master’s degree preferred; residential experience strongly desired.
