Living on Campus
Bard College at Simon’s Rock is a residential campus, meaning that almost all students reside on campus while they’re enrolled. In their first year, students live (and bond) with their class in one of three first-year residence halls in the heart of campus. In subsequent years, there is more variety in housing options. Most residences have both single and double rooms, with the occasional triple or quad; several are set up apartment-style, with individual units containing singles, doubles, and shared common spaces. Each building is supervised by a professional Residence Director and a staff of trained student Peer Advocates. Together, they offer support and guidance, plan social events and community service trips, and help students make sense of one of the most complicated and rewarding human endeavors: living in a community.
