In an interview with professor Ahmed Zewail, the winner of the 1999 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, he stated “I believe that whenever I have a full understanding of any subject, then I can easily simplify it to the others”. Thus, I believe that the first step to teaching is always a good understanding of the material and a clear picture of the objectives/sub-objectives I need to deliver to my students. My goal as a teacher is to provide a good conceptual base that can be built upon with real-world examples. Learning should not be a boring experience, so I strive for high enthusiasm and relevant examples.
