Teaching at Simon's Rock has made me refine my idea of an interactive class. I used to think this meant that students would ask me a lot of questions and I would respond. Now I think of an interactive class as one where students and I talk amongst each other -- and where there can be many comments made by students without any from me. I try to approach philosophy with humor and lightness.
