I love the German language and want my students to know this. Therefore, I often tell them about my own experiences in the German-speaking world and welcome any questions that relate to the language and culture. I believe that students perform best in a language course if they know exactly what is expected of them and if they are in a well structured, but flexible environment. I try to be clear and patient, recognizing that, for some students, my course may actually be their first contact with a foreign language.
