"Access is a non-profit organization premised on the belief that the realization of human rights and democracy in the twenty-first century is increasingly predicated on access to the internet and other forms of information communication technology. Founded in the aftermath of the 2009 Iranian elections, Access provides critical real-time technical support to human rights activists and pro-democracy dissidents in closed and semi-closed countries around the world.

While it is preferable that interns be located in the New York area for the semester long duration of the Program, since most of Access’s work is conducted virtually, applicants will be considered from locations worldwide. The start and end dates of this internship are negotiable."

Time Commitment:
January through April, 2011

15-20 hours per week (more if desirable; negotiable depending on specific circumstances of candidate)
