WSW hosts 2-3 studio interns who work with WSW staff on projects including papermaking, book arts, and arts administration. In addition to assisting with the on-going operations of the facility, interns assist WSW's Artists-in-Residence with their projects, work with artist-educators in WSW's Art-in-Education program, and participate in WSW's Summer Arts Institute classes as studio assistants.

Internships include housing and a stipend of $250 per month. Interns work 40 hours a week, generally M-F, 9-5 pm, but the schedule changes to accommodate the workshop's schedule. Intern sessions culminate with an Exhibition of work created during their stay.
